I have the 3 LP vinyl bootleg of this exact concert. Bought it in 1979 when l was in high school from an independent record shop. This was one of the best shows THE WHO> ever played.

The Pontiac Stadium version is the pinnacle. This is a bit lame in comparison. Sorry.

I was there. My ears rang for days. Is hard to convey just how loud the Who were before limits were set.

This is great! I'd never heard a live recording of this song before. The Who were a rare band that could take a great studio recording and then take it to another level in a live recording -- with only three instruments! This was a little bit before Miles Davis started the Jazz Fusion trend -- but I can hear similarities.

Kenny Jones is such an incredible drummer. Never appreciated his taient back during this time period but listening now I appreciate what he brought to the bands live performance. This is coming from a huge Keith Moon fan😂

These early Kenny Jones gigs were great. He played with more fire and there was an open improvisational feel to the music that was gone by the 82 tour.

Alembic bass ! There is nothing like the sound of an Alembic bass and in Entwistles hands here it sounded simply incredible .

Not too long after Keith's death. I got to see them on the 4th of July a week after John died. I know it was tough for them to carry on.

Saw them on this tour at MSG. It was Kenny Jones birthday. Pete was playing a black telecaster. I was shocked and not happy to see the horns. I remember they messed up the start of this song so it was hard to tell what was being played until the singing started. Was an amazing show nonetheless!

Undoubtedly Keith Moon was the best drummer in the Rock music nick named as Octopus spreading all over his equipment while playing

It was strange that they dropped this song so quickly after 1971. Another disappointment was how they seemed to drop "Water" after 1970, except for the Old Vic shows.
